VIDEO: The importance of Play on Children's Mental Health

In this Webinar we chat to our ambassador and former senior
#toy designer from #Hasbro, #LEGO and Toys R Us, Yesim Kunter along with founder of the Good Play Guide and one of the UK's leading experts in child development, Amanda Gummer. WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW.

Playful Minds is calling on our #Government to increase funding for resources that improve children’s #mentalhealth, to support teachers and parents both in the classroom and at home.

We believe in the value of play and the hugely important role it can have in helping families and children talk about and address mental health. The government has acknowledged this but we believe more needs to be done.

Lockdown has been hard on families, in particular when it comes to mental health, and we want to ensure that there is increased help and support for them.

We were delighted to be hosting this webinar, which is the starting point of this discussion:

- What can we do to support during and beyond the pandemic?

- What is the role of play and games?

- Are we doing enough to help parents?

- What should the government be doing

This webinar is part of our overall campaign and is the first of many events that we plan on hosting, but do please support us by checking out the Playful Minds Facebook and Twitter or website.
